Dr. J. Harvoy Jlooro, who has been located
at tho jFerguson IIouso the past two weeks,
having performed a nuaiber of surgical opera,
tlons which need his personal supervision!
has concluded to prolong his stay to January
10th. This, indeed, will bo good news to
many who havo been uuablo to consult him.
Ho has been eminently successful in Shcnau
doah, performing cures that scorn almost
miraculous, yet when Rifled down woro found
to be hnsod on purely scientific treatment.
Often, as is well known, tho allllcted aro
required to travol a long distance in order to
roach one who is capable of removing their
particular ailment, and when reached his
reputation stands upon tho testimony of those
who aro equally strangers; hut In tho case of
Dr. Mooro all this Is changed. Ho has been
In our midst long enough to becomo ono of
us. Tho names and address of many of his
patients whom ho has cured in this region
has been published in the Hkrald. Many
were well known citizens, whoso words are
undoubtod and who aro easy ot access. Ills
wotks have been for tho betterment of tho
condition of our friends and uolghbors, and
thus it is that his fanio and success ro-t upon
solid ground, continuing to grow and spread
from day to day.
Dr. Mooro is a specialist of undoubted skill
in tho diseases which ho treats, and whllo he
has paid particular attontiou to tho ovoand
oar, and lias been eminently cuccossful, he is
not lacking in testimonials from those in
our midst as to the success of the treatment
of other diseases. He does not euro all, for
the reason that ho does not accccpt- all the
c.sea that come to him, and in this particular
ho is certainly very diil'erent lrom nianj
other physicians.
Tho doctor's practice since located hero has
been voty larg.-, and investigation shows
that his beneficence not only covers a wide
liold, but that ho is honorable in his practice,
and will not lend himself to the delusion ol
those in whoso behalf his great skill will noi
avail. 3
Those contemplating consulting this cmi
uent specialist would do well to .vail thorn
lves of tho last opportunity, .'ho last days
of his stay he will undoubf ily bo so busy
mat it will Do impossible for ,11 to call to see
blni. Iu his advertisement uiay bo found a
number of testimonials of cures effected
whilo in Shenandoah.

There can be no doubt of tho success of

Board of Health President Spalding mado an
address, in which ho stated that thcro were

proposed to Inaugurate a decislvo policy to
show these people that tho regulations and
ordors of tho board must bo obeyed, or those
who refused to do so must answer to tho law.
The remarks lead to tho adoption of a
motion instructing Health Officer Miles to
notify all undertakers and funeral directors
that tho Board of Health will proceed against
them for tho first violation of tho rules and
regulations.
It is said tbat tho rule requiring under
takers to take out burial permits has been
almost entirely ignored.
Tho Board also decided, in view of tho in
