lasted about two huurs and all tha lawyers

of a charge which was supposed to havo
missed fire When Joyce returned to retouch
the squib ho received tho lull force of tho
blast.
Thu injuries Joyce received wero of a dis
tressing character. His right arm was blown
oil just abovo tho wrist, tho left hand was
badly shattered, his chest and back wero
badly bruised aud burned, and his eyes were
so badly injured that had tlio victim re
covered he would probably have been left
blind. ,
