"When nt Slultenrt. Geruianv. during the
winter of 1881-82, I was suffering from a
severe attack of bronchitis, which seemed to
threaten pneumonia. I met, at tho Hotel
Mniquardt, Commander Benrdslee, of the
United States Navy. In speaking of my
sickness, he remarked, 'Doctor, you oan euro
thnt chest trouble of yours hy using an All-
cook's Porous Plastor.' 'That may ho true,
I answered, 'hut whore can I get the plaster?'
'Anywhere in the civilized world, and surely
licio in Stuttgart. Whcuover I have u cold, I
always uso ono nnd find relief.' I sent to tho
drug store for tho plaster, and it did all that
my friend had promised. Ever sinco then I
havo used it whenever suffering from a cold,
nnd I have many times prescribed it for
patients.
'Tho Allcock's Dasters is tho host to ho
had, and has saved many from severe illness
nud undoubtedly, if used promptly, will save
many valuable lives. Whcnevor one has a
severe cold they should put on an Allcock's
pUstcr as soon as possible It should bo
placed across tho chest, tho upper margin
just below tho neck; some hot beof tea, or
milk, will aid in tho treatment.
"This is not a patent remedy in tho ob
icctionablo sense of that term, but a standard
preparation of value. Tho Government
supplies for tho U. S. Army and Indian
Hospital Storos contain Allcock's Plasters,
and tho medical profession throughout the
world aro well awaro of their reliability and
excellence. I shall always recommend it,
not only to broak up colds,, but us useful in
allaying pains in tho chest and in tho back.
It is a preparation worthy of gonoral confi
denco."
