He was about to show them the wounds on his legs when the keepers filtered tho room nnd sharply ordered him to stop. He did so in short order nnd wit h every appearance of great fright. Ennis said that ono morning recently he remained n bed a moment longer than the time, when the keeper rushed into his room and beat him unmercifully with a club about two feet long, inflicting the wotinds nboiit his head. Complaints, ho said, only brought on a repetition of tho t hrash iug. The men who visit thu patient and tell thestorios are reputable citizens and bear excellent reputations.
