stranger who was plodding along the snow
laden road. The stranger hailed 8hoemker

Mnhanoy City Mr. Shoemaker left the horse
and sleigh in charge of tho stranger and
cuUrul a hardware store to purchase the
ropo. When he left the storo, horse, sleigh

To-day ho received a dispatch stating that Ibe
