MODEL MINSTRELS.
Tho itrcct parade of tho Sweeney, Alvido,
Gormon & Goetzo's Model Minstrels yester
day was by far tho finest exhibition of tho
kind that has been seen on our streets in
recent years. The hand is nn excellent ono,
and its concerts attracts largo crowds. Tho
performance last ovening was first class, and
tho largo audience present was delighted
from the raising of the curtain to tho end.
Tho Models are gentlemen, and deserve well
at the hands of tho public. Grtentburg, Ind.,
Jlemew, Tho Model Minstrels will appear at
Ferguson's theatre on Thursday ovening,
December 8th.

The .Jennings I'linenil,
Tho funeral of tho late Edward Jennings,
who was killed In tho slope of tho Ellon-
gowan colliery, Tuesday morning, took placo
yesterday. Tho funeral was a very largo
one and was attended by tho St. Patrick's
band and society. Tho remains were brought
hero from the homo of the deceased's parents
in Ellcngowan and High Mass was held in
tho Annunciation church, after which tho
funeral proceeded to tho placo of interment
in Mahanoy City.
