Frank Ast Tesky, a Polish miner ro'ldlng
on West street, was seriously injured this
morning by being Btruck ou tho Lehigh
Yalloy railroad, at n point about 200 yards
cast of Shenandoah junction. Astorosky
"was on his way homo at about half past
seven o'clock when eastbound passenger
train No. 20, drawn by cngino No. 67S,
Btruck him. His head was badly damaged
nnd the toes of his right foot were cut oft".
He wac taken to the Miners' Hospital and at
list was in a critical condition.

Harries Moyer, a miner residing on Bast
Coal street, was badly burned about the
face and hands by an explosion of gas in
Plank Ridge colliery yesterday. Ho isunder
the caro of Dr. Stein.
Ralph Sharrocks, a Polish miner of town,
sustained a compound fracturo of one of tho
arms whilo at work in tho Kohinoor colliery
ou Thursday. As he was standing on a
barrel a picco of falling coal struck and
knocked him down. Ho fell with his arm
under him.
