Edward Dougherty died in Philadelphia
this morning. A telegram announcing
tho fact was received by P, J. Ferguson
this afternoon. Mr, Dougborly was for
merly a resident of this town, but of late
yoars has been n traveling saloemnn for a
largo wholesale shoo firm of Philadelphia
and was one of the most popular men on
the road. He was exceedingly popular
throughout this region and the news of hit
death was received here with deep regret.
