The Hock Funeral.
The funeral of the late .John Bock, who
met his death in an accident last "Wednes
day, took placo from tho residence of his
sistor, on North Jardln street, yesterday
afternoon. Tho funeral was n largo one.

which deceased was a member, tho 1'hcooiz
Hose Company, and a largo delegation
from the Columbia II. & 3. F. E. Co.
wore in attendance. Among tho floral
tributes was a large piece representing
ladders and hooks, bearing the initials of
tho Kescao Company and tho narao of the
deceased. The remains were interred in
Iho Odd Fellows' cemetery. The pall
bearers wero Loo liamberger, ltobort
Oliver, Jacob ICreiger, Morris Brown,
Hilton Troutman and "Willaira Warnick.

Fred. II. Hopkins to-day entered tho servico
of the Mahanoy City, Shenandoah, Girardvillo
and Ashland Railway Company and has been
assigned to tho power house at Rappahannock.
"Hilly" Galvin, lately the genial and accom
modating bartender at C. G. New's restaurant,
has resigned his position in order to accept a
moro lucrative ono as coal inspector at No. 3
and No. I collieries, ilcc William Uachman,
resigned.
Misses Mamo Lynch, Nellto O'Hara, Tessie
Hartnctt, Annio Sheehey nnd Effle Ilea ton, and
Dert. Hooks and John Kern to-day returned to
Uloomsburg State Normal school, where they
will enter upon their second and last course.
