Thoy went to Washington, nnd with

at tho spot on tho mountain side wliero
tho dog had found the suspender. About
two feet below tho surface tho romains
wore found. They were most horribly
mutilated.
Coy is about 85 yours old, short, of
rather stout build, and unintelligent
looking. He lias always rosidod in the
vicinity of Washington.

John llardsley, for the unlawful use of
city and State funds, and dwolt particu

sums of money for Interest from banks
nnd individuals to whom ho had loaned
fuuds of tho State with the connivance
of Stato Treasurer Boyer, Cashier Llvesy

that war is likely to break out in tho
near future between Salvador nnd Guate
mala on the one band, and NIcaraugua
and Honduras on tho othor. It Is also
said that Guatemala has sent troops
lo tho Salvadorian frontior. Tho odlcinl
relations betweou Guatemala and Salva
dor have been very unsatisfactory dnrins
the last twelve months. The two coun
tries find It dinicult to maintain peace,
nlthough the two governments are on
friendly terms with each other, owing
to their despotic policy towards their
