to-day bo would make an impeachment
of Hon. J. C. Haggart, I'ostmaster-Qon-cral,
In conuectlou with the construction
of section U, of the Canudiuu Pacific
Itallway.
Tho chargo will be that while a mem
ber of Parliament Mr. Haggart was In
terested in tlds contract given by tho
Government for the construction of that

timore & Ohio Telegraph Company

land. Jewett was unablo to complete
his work becauso Garrett backod out. Ho
brings suit for $3,000,000. It was im
possible to inaku service. Ashnrp deputy
marshal caught Garrett In Jorsoy City as
he was boarding his privato car and made
service.
Garrett's counsel made a motion to
have It dismissed, because it was not the
intention of tho law to track and wuylay

struck heavily upon his hoad on thu
stone floor ot tho barn. Fosdlck slowly
arose to his feet, walked across tho room
and dropped dead.

McCormlck, the wife of a prominent
merchant of Homer, and widely known
throughout the County, while crossing
