Five firemen were burned, two of them
very serloiuly. At loast SO burtness
homes had goods on storage in the build
ing and among the contents wero chemi
cals, drugs, jute, teas, spice's, shellac
and a variety of general merchandize.
The loss Is estimated by R. C. Laytou at
$250,000.

a judgment of $1,000. The city of Wor
cester also settled its suit ou the same
