manoeuvres this autumn will take pines
In the Governments of Kloff, I'rodollce
nnd Volhynla. Upward of 100,000 men
will bo massed together, and as these ara
to bo drawn from tho interior of Russia,
thero will bo no diminution of tho im
mense forco of Russian troops already
stationed near the Austrian frontier.
On tho contrary, many of the troops
engaged in the manoeuvres will be added
to tho existing garrisons nnd serve to
swell the vast body of men rendy, at tha
briefest notice, to bo precipitated on tho
Austrian empire. The Vienna Cabinet,
it is stated, is fully nllvo to tho situation
and doing the best that can be done to
counteract it.
There is an army of Austrian spies in
Western Russia, nnd tho War Office at
Vienna is kept minutely informed as to
every movement of the Russian troops.
