"Tho district assemblies In cities and
towns, where such exist, and local assem
blies where no districts aro organized,
nro requested to make lists of saloon
keepers nnd others who sell beer manu
factured by tho J. Anheuser-Busch Brew
ing Association of St. Louis, and tho W.
J. Leinp Brewing Company of the same
place also of dealers who display the ad
vertisements of these firms, and forward
these lists to this oillco."
It is understood that this order is pre
paratory to an official boycott on the
firms In question.

ment that the recent visit of A. W.
Wright to tho South was with n view of
smoothing over trouble of tho order cre

Blind In this city, has brought an action
in tho Supremg Court to recover from
Thomas Finnican, a prominent politician
of Oueens County, tho sum of $25,000 I
for the alienation of his wife's affections.
It appears that tho Slaters conducted a
hotel at Woodsbury, L. I., for Finnican,
nnd in March, 1888, tho owner turned out
the husband nnd rotalned the wifo.
Slater then got a divorce.
A ten-year-old son of Slater's makes
nllldnvit to tho Improper notions of his
mother. Finnican denies all the chargos.
