regatta ol tho Canadian Association
the same year, at Lachine, winning tho
senior sculls nnd defeating Shea and
Nettlotpn in 0m. 42s. He also rowed
in tho Toronto Club four tho same day,
the crew being disqualified. This is
tho last race in which Itynn engaged in
up to tho present time, but ho will bo
heard from during tho present season.
May 31, of tho present year, he won
the international road race, the course
being from Bordeaux to Paris, a dis
tance of 358 miles, in Snh. 35m., eclips
ing Holbein, tho French rider's famous
record of 33flf miles in 24h. on tho
North Iload with its level stretches. Iu
the Frcncli race, however, there wero
127 miles of hill climbing. Mills
changod on to six different machines,
nil fitted with pneumatic tiros, oiled,
nnd ready for uso. Hills holds nearly
nil tho long distanco records, and bomo
lowering is looked for before tho end
of tho season by this, champion rider.
