former was 1111 anchor made of evergreen

Sunday Morning,
At about two o'clock yosteiday morning
Chief of Police Amour saw two young
girls steal through tho stngo door-way ol
Ferguson s theatro and tUe door was
Immediately closed and locked after they
got in. Manager Ferguson was consulted
and it was decided to raid tho theatre,
Tho place was surrounded and Policeman
WllliBms, who entered the place through a
window, nllowed his fellow officers to onior
at the, stage door. Going down under the
stage tho officers found three men nnd two
young women in one of the dressing rooms.
One of the young men was in the act ol
pouring whiskey into a glnss.
The parties wore James O'urlen, iiuke
Welsh, an elderly man named Morgan
Sand. Ellen Morrlion and Annie Miller.
They wcro placed in tho lockup until yes
torday afternoon, when, 'Squire Williams
gave them .a hearing. .Each one was put
under 8200 ball.
Tho girls pleaded guilty to going into the
theatre to drink whiskey with tbe men,
but pleaded not guilty to a charge of for
nication. They will bo given another
hearing this evening and tiro now In the

Annie Miller U a PotUvlllo girl and Is
about 18 years of ago.
The Morrison girl is about tho same ago.
