It died in a few hour* after, and the woman is now in jail. There are six rooms filled with silks, satins, ribbons velvets, costly lace, artificial flowers, exqui site embroideries in gold and silver, bonnets, capes, gowns, gloves, body and table linen, diamonds and jewelry, shawls, mantles, and toilet requirements -of every descrip tion, color and material. "That I cannot inform you," replied the communicative gentleman, "but he is dead.'' This is considered the most guarded answer on record.
