A 111 MAX LIFE SATED!
DOWAGIAC, Mich, March 11, 1866.
J. A. RHODES, ESQ : Dear Sir—As 1 took
your medicine to sell on consignment. "no
cure no pay," I take pleasure in staling its ef
fects as reported to me by three brothers who
live in this place, and their testimony is a lair
■ specimen of all I have received:
W. 8. COHKIIK tojd me 1 had taken nine
bottles of Christie's Ague Balsam, and contin
ually run down while using it until my lungs
and liver were Congested to that degree that
blood discharged from my mouth and bowels,
so that all thought it impossible for me to live
through another chill. The doctors too did
all they conld for me, but though I must die.
Nothing did any good until 1 got Rhodes' Fe
ver and and Ague Cure, which at once reliev
ed me of the distress and nausea at my stom
ach and pain in my head and bowels, and pro
duced a permanent cure in a short time."
H. M. CONXION says: "1 had been taking me
dicine ot as good a doctor as we have in our
county, and taken any quantity of quinine
and specifics without any good. result, from
26 August to I7tb December. But seeing how
nicely it operated on my brother, I got a bot
tle of RHODES' FEVER AND AGUE CUKE,
which effected a permanent cure by using two
thirds of a bottle."
S. M. Co.v klin was nut licre, but both the
other brothers say his case wax the same as H.
.M's. I sold the medicine to both the same
day, and the cure was as speedy from the same
small quantify, and I might so specify. Yours
with respect. A. HUNTINGTON.
The above speaks for itself. Good proof as
it is, it is of no better tenor than the vast num
ber of like certificates I have already publish
ed, and the still greater amount thai is contin
ually pouring in to me.
One thing more. Last year I had occasion
to Caution the Public in these words:—
"2 notice one Jirtn u ho hare taken one of my gen
eral circulars, substituted the name of their nos
trum for my medicine, and then with brazen impu
dence end their pamphlet with the exclamation,
'Let the proprietor of aery uther medicine say as
much if he. ilares,' " &c.
Now I take pleasure in saying that the Cau
tion referred to the same "Dr. Ohiistie's Ague
Balsam" that is mentioned in the above cer
tificate.
There are several other industrious people
who are applying to their poiaonous trash all
that I publish about my Fever and Ague Cure,
or Antidote to Malaria, except the certificates
of Cures, and the Certificate of the celebrated
Chemist, Dr. James. R. Chilton of N. Y., in
favor of its perfectly HARMLESS CHARAC
TER, which is attached to every bottle. These
will always serve to distinguish my medicine
from imitations.

LETTER FROM A DRUGGIST.
New York, Oct. 10, 1852.
Dear Sir—Please send me two boxes inortnf
your Vegetable Epileptic Pills. The person of
whom I procured them, is much pleased with
their effects. They seem to have an excellent
effect.
A PERFECT CURE OF EPILEPSY.
Pittsburg, November 22, 1853.
Dear Sir—lt is now ten months since my wife
had any of those nervous attacks. She thinks
she is cured. She has not had any symptoms of
the disease fortbe last nine months. She took
your Vegetable Extract Pills for about four
months,and discontinued them four months
since. Mrs. S. was treated by the best old
schoolphysicians'in the State for ten years, then
by the best Hommpatbic for eighteen months,
wi.houtacure. It is to your Ve*etal>]e Ex
tract Pills, and with stn regard to diet, that
we ascribe her cure of the most dreadfbl dis
ease that evei afflicted the bunianfamily. 1 wish
every person afflicten with Epilepsy had this
medicine, and would give it a thorough trial
It may notcurein allcascs, but in this it has
performed wonders.
A VERY REMARKABLE CURE.
Milledgeville, Ga. I
December 17, 1862. \
Dear Sir—l wish to inform you that oneof
my family has been afflicted with FITS fora
nnmber of years, and seeing an advertiscmen
in a news paper, concerning your VegetableEx
tract Epileptic Pills, I came to the conclusion
after trying almost every physician in my reacht
and all having failed in relieving my child of
the disease, to send for six boxes of your pills,
which proved an effectual cure for my daughter,
who is now about 18 years of age. I think
there is no other medicine in use equal to them,
and I will be forever grateful to you for the use
of them for my daughter whom it has cured.
Yours, respectfully.
Nervous and Constitutional Disea
ses.
These pills possess a specific action on t 1
uerveus system, and although they are prep
red especially for the purpose of curing Fit
they will be found of especial benefit to all pera
son afflicted with weak nerves, or whose ners
voiis system has been prostrated or shatterd,
from any cause whatever; in fact it is almost
i • possible to convey an adequate idea of the
speedy and almost miraculous results which
these pills effect in the diseased, broken down
tr imrostrated nervous systems. Persons who
were all lassitude, weaknesss and debility, be
fore their use, at once become robust and full of
energy. No matter whether the constitution
has been broken down by excess, weak by na
ture, or debilitated by sickness, their efl'ection
the unstrung and shattered nervous organiza
tion is equally certain and apparent. In cases
tof neuralgia, headache, vertigo, pain in the
nerves of the face, and the various train of ner
vous affections, palpitation of the heart, period
ical headaches, cold and shivered state of the
frame, frequent fits of abstraction, total inabili
ty, dislike to society, melancholy, religious mo
nomania, heats and flushes of the face on the
slightest occasion, adesire that existence should
terminate; they will produce a cure inanaston
iishngly short period of time, and it will alos
remove depression, excitement, a tendency to
blush, restlessness,sleeplessness,incapacity for
study or business, loss of memory, confusion,
giddiness, blood to the head, mental debility,
hysteria, indecision, wretchedness, thoughts of
self destruction, fear of insanity, Ac., Ac.
I They will increase and restore the appetite
I strengthen the emaciated, renew the health of
those wbo have destroyed it by exc ssea, and
induce continual cheerfulness and equanimity
of spirits, and prolong life.
Persons of pale complexion and cosnnmptive
habits are restored by a box or two, to bloom
and vigor, changing the skin from a pale, veliow
sickly color, to a beautiful floi id comph xion.
these Pills are cr mposed of t une of
the most expensive mate ials in the tiateria
Medica, it will be impossible to leave them
around the country on agency, as common Pat
ent Medicines usually are. But in order te let
the afflicted in the most remote parts of the
country have a chance to obtain them, they
will be sent by mail thee of postage, to any part
of the United States, or any country with which
the United States hat postal arrangements, on
the receipt of a remittance.
