An Amendment.
Be it ordained and enacted by the Bur-
gess and Town Council of Salisbury Bor-
ough, Pa.;and it is-hereby ordained and ¢n-
acted by the suthority of the same, that
section 49 of ordinances enacted May 8th,
1901, be amended to read: That the owners
of telephone poles now erected or that shall
be erected within the Borough limits shall
be required to pay into the Borough treas-
ury an annual license tax of twenty-five
cents for each and every pole. .
All resolutions or ordinances, or so much
of the same that is inconsistent with the
faregoing, is hereby repealed.
Ordained and enacted May 9th, 1902.

ny and has moved his mill to Grants-
ville, Md..where he is sawing for Eman-

ried Sunday night by Rev. Eastburn.

Wm. Stark, a Pittsburg clerk, came
home last Sunday to visit his parents a
