Editor and Mrs. K. Cleaver, arrived
home, Saturday evening, from Phil-
adelphia to spend the summer. Miss
Cleaver, who graduated from Smith
College, Northampton, Mass., June ot |
last year, has accepted a position as
a teacher of English History in the
Altoona high school.
Mr. Ozias Weimer who lives near |
Sand Patch returned a few days ago
from a trip to Philadelphia where |
his daughter is in a convent. On th
way there Mr. Weimer went by way
of Baltimore and Washington and
the return was made by way of Lan-
caster Gettysburg, York and Taney-
town, making stops at these several
places. The trip was much enjoyed
by Mr. Weimer.
On Wednesday, Mr. Frank B,
Black and family left in their tour-
ing car to be present at the National
Guards encampment at Mt. Gretna
on Governor's Day. Following his vis-
