the war for the Union, which are fully equal to their

UAY.—At the residence of her mother, Mrs. F, Os
in LaGrange, on Thursday, October Ist.,
Jijjol, wife of Alvin Day, aged 33 years.
When young she united herself with the Metho
dist Episcopal Church, and for many years she has
stood as a witness Cor Jesus. She has now gone "to
the christians home in glory." She had an assur
ance of a blessed immortality. She had run the
race, and fonght the fight, and the victor's crown
was In view. She said, while on her dying bed.—
'•Oh, bow good Jesus is; how bright it looks up
yonder," and that her sufferings were as nothing in
comparison to what the saviour had suffered for her; I
that she would like to live for her family if it was !
Gods will, but was willing to leave them in His
hands, feeling assured He would care for them and
finally gather them home. COM.
