Drowned.—Five persons were drowned near tb c outlet of the Gravel pond in Abington Township, on Saturday last, by tho sinking of a boat in which they were riding at tho time. Four of these unfortu nate persons wero children of Loren Dewey Esq three daughters and one son, aged from 9 to 22 voars. The fifth, was neice—a young lady on a visit to hi B house, from Vermont. Mr Murry, a resident near the pond was within sight, at the time of this terrible accident, and tbough they were near the shore, ow ing to his crippled condition, he was unable to relieve them. They were buried on Sunday last—several thousand persons attending the funeral, which is rep resented by those in attendance to have been one of the most solemn occasions ever witnessed by them, Died.
