by the G. A. R. and citizens. Editor
Lumbard delivered the address of
welcome. The Dr. replied in a few
well chosen words, altho' lie was
very tired and weak from his re-

church and Prof. Chuuey Baker at
Baker's church. These were the
maiden ellorts of these young gentle
men as Memorial day orators. They
certainly ably acquitted themselves.
Both tiiese young gentlemen will
some day make their mark. They
certainly deserve and have received
the thanks of the (1. A. Ii. as both
returned lrom the Xonnal school at
Freeburg, especially to deliverthe.se
