David Whitmer of Salem is vis
iting N. T. Duudore and wife and
calling on his many old friends in
this community, the place of his
childhood, and though almost passed
the eightieth mile stone of his lite,
yet posesses activities of a man of
half his age ; lie is the only survivor
in Whitmer! family.
Geo. and Ira Hoover's cattle took
a swim down the river and were
rescued with difficulty.
H. F. Whitmer is stocking our
merchant with coal for next winter.
