On Monday a grand birthday
party was given in honor of Mis.
Calvin Troup at her home, an excel
lent supper was provided for the
guests.
Rev. Miller preached an excellent
sermon at Grubb's church Sunday.
Miss Dora Goodling was the
ueat of Jennie Stroup ovei Sunday.
On Sunday morning Mrs. Henry
Arnold was called from time into
eternity leaving a husband and five
children to mourn her departure the
youngest child being only a little
over a week old. May God help to
comfort the bereaved and care for
the little orphans.
Elsworth Troup and wife were at
his parent's home Monday.
A sled load of our young folks
were to the meeting at St. Thomas
church Saturday night and were
caught in the blizzard coining home.

Mrs. Mary Snyder Monday evening
in honor of her 62nd birthday. Quite
a number of ladies were in attend
ance. They all enjoyed themselves
wishing Mrs. Snyder long life, and
many more such birthday parties.

Jacob Keicheubach, teacher of the
primary school of Shamokin Dam,
passed through this place with his
school Friday afternoon. The little
folks seemed to be enjoying the ride.
Mr. Heichenbach is setting a good
example for other teachers. Try to
