counting of the vote for state officers
at the last general elections, nnd Sen
ator Bproul, if Delaware, was nomi
nated by Senator Qrady and unani
mously elected.
After Senator Fllnn, of Allegheny,
had introduced a bill in relation to the
election laws, and a batch of execu
tive appointments had been confirmed,
Senator Qrady offered a resolution for
Immediate consideration providing
that a special committee of nine bo ap
pointed to which all bills be referred
until the standing committees shall
have been appointed.
Senator Fllnn rose In opposition to
the resolution, He said II w;us an odd
proceeding, and asked the president
pro tern, when he expected to announce
his committee.
President Snyder replied in a week
or ten days. r
Senator Fllnn said he would prefer
to leave his bill lay on the table until
the regular committees were appointed.
Senator Qrady replied that th ap
pointment of such a committee was no
