A shooting match for geese will
be held at T. C. Landis' Thursday,
November 20th. No. 8 shot to be
used. All marksmen are invited to

Tine Wagner, who had been run
ning a stave mill in Huntingdon
county during the past year, is now
located at MoClure.
Enoch Baker has finished his car
penter work for thesummei and has
taken a big contract at his fall and
winter trade, lime burning.
Pat Garity, who had been spend
ing the summer in the west, paid
his old friend, S. H. Phillips, a
short visit a few days ago.
The person or persons who are
following their occupations of steal
ing will get their just dues when
they least expect it. This is the
wish of persons who earn their liv
ing by the sweat of their brow.

are making a serious mi-lake and if
their parents do not wish to give
them better advice they will un
doubtedly have to he left alone in
their choice because they seem to
know best themselves until too late.
The entertainment given hy Prof
E. F Punlavy was very much en
joyed by the writer and others who
were there even the evedroppers en
joyed hanging around the windows
to save twenty edits. Those twenty
cents would have been well gpenl if
they had conic inside. Many others
who did not come at all made a mis
take. This was a rare treat and ev
erybody in the whole community
should have availed themselves of
the opportunity, and they undoubt
edly would have if it hail not been
for that fifth part of a dollar.
