Jackman, editor of the Democrat and Register, of Miftiji town, for thirty years, died at his home in that place Monday evening . Mr. Jackman had been in failing health for some time and the editorial management of the newspaper has been done by his daughter, Mis. J, Gertrude Jackman. Deceased was a veteran of the civil war, having been a member of Company A, First Penn sylvania Cavlary. He is survival by his wife and three daughters. . j .
