Last week one night James Ayres
of this place Iiecame suddenly blind
in one eye. The eye felt as though
there was a scum over and he wash
ed it, but there was no relief. Fi
nally by closing the other eye he
discovered he was totally J blind in
one eye. It is probable that a blood
vessel burst which has clouded his
vision. We trust it is only temporary.

home, about two and one-half miles
west of Shamokin Dam, aged 03
