ant peach crop as the trees in this
vicinity are all loaded with healthy

Coleman Seehold is planting a each
orchard, using a new method for fertil
izing the trees at time of planting. His
method consists of placing old leather
around the bottom of the roots.
Our correspondent has just received
a letter from a friend near Kinsley,
Kansas, which says that then' the

Mrs. Susannah Stuck, wife of
Samuel Stuck, diet! near Globe
Mills Sunday night at 11 o'clock,
aged 56 years, ti months and 22
days. She was horn Oct, 1, 1843,
a daughter of Jacob and Sallic
Haines. She had seven brothers
and one sister and she is the tirst of
the family to die. She isthe moth
er of four c hildren, Mrs. Schrover,
Clara, now deceased, and Charles
and George residing at (JIoIxj Mills.
Six grandchildren survive. She was
a long and patient Sufferer from that
dreadful disease, consumption. She
! was u kind and loving mother, a
' good neighlor and was loved and
! respected by all who knew her. The
friends and neighbors all extend the
1 most heartfelt Sympathy to the
I bereaved husband and children.
The funeral services will he held
