Early In the spring of 1833 the Span
ish Iron steamer San . limn sailed from
Hong-Kong for Manila with n cargo
largely composed of keroncnp, which
had been carefully stowed os near the

the some 300 Chinese coolies who com
posed the passenger list could sit on

surprising that the ship took fire
