Obituary of Eawin Eoueh-
We are very sorry to chronicle
the sad though not unexpected death
of our young Iricnd and neighbor
Charles Edwin Roush. He was a
son ot the late Joseph Roush and
Mary Ann his wife, a boru Min
ium. He was born on the 24th day
of July 1877 near Freeburg, in
Washington twp. Snyder County Pa.
where lie siicnt most of his short
period of useful life. He wa eon
tinned aud become a member of tlie
Lutheran church at Freeburg on the
19th day of December 1896.
Not more than a year ago lie wus
stricken with a heavy cold, ending
in that dreadful disease known as
consumption. From this he suffered
more or less ever since until God
saw lit to remove him out of time
to eternity on Tuesday evening,
March loth, aged 20 years, - 7 mo,
and 21 days. He was a young man
of rather quiet disposition and of a
reputation such as many a 'one of
his age might have just reason to
envy. The funeral took place last
Saturday forenoon at Freeburg. He
was hud to rest in I airyiew cemetery,
in a very fine white embossed plush
casket furnished . by undertaker J.
Howard Arbogast, who also directed
the obsequies in a very fine and
proper style. . .
The pall-bearers were William
Charles, Frank Holtzapple, Alvin
Keck, Theodore Gry, Wm. Dunkel
berger -and -Martin Hass. Rev's
Drukeomillcr and Snable officiated.
The church was well filled Svith
