The Bucknell Foot Ball team on
Saturday met and defeated the
strong Foot-ball team of State Col
lege, at Williamsport by a score of
10 too. This is a victory for Buck
nell worthy of corambot. State Col
lege last year defeated Bucknell and
the fact that Bucknell prevented
State College from flooring a single
point denotes a victory of unusual
proportions. Buckoell's team is a
powerful one and no doubt will win
many Uurels ere the season closes.

The superior truth aud delicacy of
tho old daguerreotype are rnado
manifest in the November Mc
Clure's, where fino reproductions of
daguerreotypo portraits of Calhoun,
Webster, Edward Everett, Dr.
Holmes, Jenny Lind, and others,
from rare collections still surviving,
illustrate an entertaining paper, by
Mrs. D. T. Davis, on the develop
ment of daguerreotyping in Ameri
ca. Soon after the discovery of the
process American daguerrootypers
became the finest in the world ; and
there is a strange movement now to
ward a revival of the art. The pa
per is therefore, timely -as well a
entertaining.
