The late crop of potatoes give n

....There are a few pheasants here
and there but none have been shot
yet by nuy of our sportsmen. Wild
turkeys are unknown here The
excitement for basB ia running high
here. Last Friday, Jacob Janet
and John Sboller, two old fishermen
aa well aa war veterans, loaded a
boat on a wagon and went to tbo

the precious mctnla nlong and will
have them te sted by experts, and if
found worth working the mine will
be operated in the near future. If
the metal proves valuable, Simeon
will no doubt ask President Cleve
land not to sign the pending silver
repeal lull as Simeon would like to
sell bia metal or bullion as last as
it is taken out of the mine. V. T.
