Mr. Arnold, of Thompson, is ortf

would like to have tho shoftuan make
him a pair of hoots.
"All right," said F.H, "iuit put your
foot on this measure, ami I'll get your
Bize."
Thompson tried to do a hn had liorn
bidden, but found it imponHiblo to com
ply with the reiptest. Although Tracy
dipped the mnrkor out to tho jump
ing off place on the meoMuro, there was
not nearly room enough to accommo
date the young man's extraordinary
foot.
"Woll," said he looking np sghsst,
I never! You boat the, record. What
sie iKxit do you UHtiully wear?'
"Oh, generally 1 cnu got on ttixtcens,"
replied the youth, with iugeuious com
placency, "but lattorly they've pinched
my feet fotup, aud 1 guc.iM I'll take a
size or two larger this time."
Tracy then made on approximate es

it criL'ed for a Wit ono inch and a half
longer than his mcasurn. "I can't fill
the bill for you," saidhn, "fur you take
a hoot bigger tliau any last that is

ro young ThompHon had to go away
without hope, and he in in a dilctumti.
The prospect is that ho will havo to go

life unless ho can persundo some
liberal-soled contractor to muke u last
especially for his use, which will bo
expensive. Thompson is not the only

c&ke in your next house-cleaning
SAPOLIO is a solid, handsome cake of houso-cleaning soap, which has no
equal for all scouring purposes except the laundry. To use it is to value it.
What will SAPOLIO do? Why, It will clean paint, make oil-cloths bright, and
give the doors, tables and shelves a new appearance. It will take the grease off
the dishes and off the pots and pans. You can scour the knives and forks with
It, and make the tin things shine brightly. The wash-basin, tho bath-tub, even
the greasy kitchen-sink will be as clean as a new pin if you uso SAPOLIO.
One cake twill prove all we say. Be a clever houcokccpcr and try it. Dewaro of
Imitations. There is but one SAPOLIO.
