Grand Army Encampment-
A meeting of delegate from the
counties composing the G. A. I. and
Veteran Soldiers' Association of the
Susquehanna and Juniata Valleys,
Huhng Post, No. 17G, on Saturday
last, perfected arrangements for the
encampment to be held Lewistown,
commencing "Wednesday, Aug.
and closing Friday, Aug. 2t. Be
ports from all the counties in the
district are of hucIi an encouraging
nature that the officers feel ablo to
nay that the citizens of Lewistown
will see the largest number of old
Holdiers and strangers during the
three days' encampment that has
ever been assembled in the county.
The first day will bo devoted to
receiving visiting delegations, &c.
On the second day a grand parade
of military, firemen and civil organi
zations. Orations by Gov. Beaver, Geu'l J.
; P. S. Gobin, Dep't Commander
Prank Mugeo, Past Department
: Commander Samuel Harper, Assis

Stewart and others. There will be
" a display of firework in the evening
by Prof. Jackson, of Philadelphia.
