A physician says February Is the

Rattle Creek Moon : The decision
of the Michigan supreme court pretty
effectually knocks the Uoheiiilaiu oat
swindle in Michigan. Its effect ap
pears to be that the purchaser of a
Hoheiulun oat note, knowing the note
to have been given on a Hoheiulun
oat contract, Is not an innocent pur
chaser, and cannot recover on the
note. This will relieve a good many
Michigan victims from the oonses
quencrs of their foolish gullibility,
and is a phvln warning against other
like swlndllug schemes.

Borne men ara born liars, soma ao-

The editor of the Post Is something
of a liar himself.

flome men lie because tha truth
don't fit. Those ara fishing Ilea.
Others lie because, of a habit, they

Web ave heard opinions expretsed
that women are less frank and truth
ful than men. If this be so It Is bo
cause a woman stands on a high
pedestal and an holiest ndinlsHiou on
her part of having stepped from that
pedestal, stamps her with suspicion
the balance of her life ; whereus,
man, proud man, may be guilty of all
the crimes in the deukatogue he re
forms and in an hour awakes to find
himself a hero. Hence woman Is of
ten taught from her youth up to con
ceal her real liuin.iu self from d etec
lion. Fashionable liars are by far the
most numerous. Society people In
form im that polite lie?t are absolutely
necessary to keep from continually
wounding the feelings of their fiii-uds
by seeming rudeness. These lies are
not supposed, to "lount," but they

The moment a man or woman is

people's interest and respect for them
