Saturday night some one broke into
the stable of A. W. Potter, Ksq., cf
Selinsgrove, and stole the squire's
young horse. They untied the mare
and let her in the alley to make it ap
pear that the horses had broken out
of the stable, to ward off suspicion
that one had been stolen. The thieves
then wetit down the road to James
K. Davis' farm and took a buggy be
longing to the tenant Ur. Krdly.
Sunday, parties started iu pursuit of
the thieves and traced them us far as
Duncnnuon, wiiero all trace of them
was lost. The horse taken was a val

squire will be able, not ouly to recov

thieves, and thereby give them a
taste of Buyder ceunty Justice.
