Thero Is a trite saying among a cer
tain class of people that the world
owes every man a living. This same
class say that "One lean is as good as
another.'' This is fulse. A man is
good III the sense intended, jutt as he
builds his character. Men are butter
for being honest, intelligent, more In
dustrious, more honorable. He who

The pretense that one man Is ns

to the muu who entertains the idea,
us he is protty upt to be genernlly

it co nsetpieutly he is not particular

on guard against such men ; but it is
unfortunate for a boy to get that
sort of au ideu. Every youth should

in the beginning of life is a good
character. It is an eusy thing to get,
and so Is a bud character, anil while a
good character may be easily lost und
