Was II u SiAiHKi)?-luorge Wen rick of Selinsgrove, the man who fa tally stabbed Dr. 1. K. Wagenseller of Selinsgrove several years ago, bus got himself into serious trouble again. On the after-noon of the Fourth of July, a man by the name of Drumheller of near Selinsgrove Junc tion, came to Selinsgrove in company with two other men to celebrate the Fourth. As is customary with some meu on such occasions who can only see tiio Auierleau F.agle well through tho bottom of a tumbler, they Inr bibed too frculynnd soon found them selves in an altercation among them selves. Mr. Weurmk hearing it, In terfeared, mid told llriiinhuller to light with a man if he wanted to cpiarrel. Drumlivller retorted bycull iug him (Wenrlck) a "blulTer" and told him to 11 1 i ii 1 his own business where-upoii Wcnrick struck him several times, knockii g him down. It was soon ilWoveroil that tin exces sive bleeding of Druiuhellur indicated sometliiug more tnau a coiiiiikui knock down, and lr. Frank Wagen seller was called, who found a cleau cut gash und'-r the right eyes 2 inches deep. Steps were at oucu tuk en for the arrest of Weurick but he could not be found. Finally Con stable (tcmberling found him hiding in llelglc's Livery Stable. The phy sicians testified that lirnmheller's life was in danger and Wenrick was sent to jail without bail to await the result of tho wound. Since then Drumheller has been improving and is now quite out of danger, though he will lose his eye. Wenrick de clares that he used no Instrument, but the physicians swear that the wound could not have beon maile by anything else than u kill fir. This, with the fact that Weurick tried to escape, and his past record as a vi cious citizen will bear hard on him and will no doubt place him out of harm's way for soma time to come.
