Since so much attention has been
given to the "IJlue Law" the Munch
Chunk Down: rut publishes an old Eng

has never been repealed, and suggests
that the advocatet, of the "Mine Law"

M.-e that this law in regard to suicide
should be vigorously enforced. Tim
law is as follows: "Any person taking
his or her life, the Coroitdr shall take

inquest thereon, refusing to deliver
possession to the relatives or friends.
Following tho inquest the body shall

species of plants have developed them
selves In Stelnlngor's lot, which are
known to botanists as bolonging to
the carboniferous nge their density
and rnnkness along the fences have
outgrown modern calculation. Mr.
nufllngton, though skilled in thn "Art
Preservative" has proven himself
an agriculturist whoso experience Is
not worth bragtrin' on. The corn was
planted late in the season before the
drouth and at once showed slins of
general debility. It looked pale.sick
ly and sour Indeed so much so thnt
it attracted the attention of passers
by, who stopped to seo the humble
bees crawling around on their hands
and knees hunting pollen. Home said
it was n winter crop, others said they
were plants for nxt year, while oth
ers, mistaking the tassels coming out
of the ground for tho roots, claimed
it wa planted up-ide down. To end
the dispute we secured the ervlcr-s of
a number of experts who, after a
thorough investigation, decided that
the corn was planted too deep and
that it hud formed tho ears under
ground. Tho matter now awaits fur
ther scientilli; investigation.

Hail, brightest day of nil the year !
The bounding oyster now is here.
Refreshed by rest since April's close,
Pinguid and sweet the bivalve grows
For seventeen long and weary weeks
We've mourned as those whose sor

In quivering voico nnd moistening

His absence from the "stew" nnd
"fry."
The social "stenm," tho "broiled on

voice,
Trembling, attest. We now rejoice,
Four months of R less niwiio are troue,
Cheerful SEPTUM HER now comes

Th" Oyster from his ocean bed
Now raises up his shapely bead ;
liis lon vue.vtlon now is o'er,
We'll ulndly w-lceme him (iin'ii more.
Through llery trutls though he's

He's sure of sife retreat at lust ;
And though to murtydom he go.
No lack of warmth shall ever know,
