At about half-tiast nine o'clock on

m at od appearance. Ladies . and gen
tlemen arrayed hi their best clothing
hastened in the direction of the tire,
which was hi tho alley west of Mark
et street, between Pleasant and Pine.
The lire was undoubtedly the work of
an Incendiary, and was first discovered
in tho lower part of the stable of F.
J. Scboeh. It soon communicated to
tho large warehouse of Schoeh Bros,
which was well filled with merchan
dise of ull kinds. A strong wind blow
the flames northward, and all the
buildings on both sides of the alley
between Pleasaut aud Pino, were con
sumed,tweuty iunumber. Among them
were the stablos of Dr. B. F. Wagen
seller, In which four bead oi cattle
were burned - his horses were gotten
out of tho the fire; stable belonging to
the First Nationul hotel, Relgle's liv
ery stable, (iemberling & Bros, stove
uud tinware establishment. ' Three
horses were burned belonging to F.
J. Schoeh & Co., one of them a flue
trottor, had just been put In the sta
ble on Saturday. The loss is about
50,0r'0; partly insured. The fire was
fought bravely by the firemen. The
Suubury Fire Company, In charge of
Captain Waley, arrived after the
buildings were all down, but played
ou the smoking rubbish.

aud three borses, $1,000; Dr. Wagen
seller stable and three blooded cows,
$1,100; Mrs. H assizer, $300; A. M.
