Secretary Taker announced the ap
proval of the red!spo.-ltlon plan after
consulting with tha President over a
joint report submitted by Major3en
eral Funston and Major-Ccr.cral Scott.

crcl Funston and concurred In by Gon
eral Scott. The Secretary anuounced
the Administration's decision, as fol
lows: "Ceneral Funston has recommended
a redlspositlon of the forces In Menico

pending opportunities for further co
operation with the. forces of the d
facto Government of Mexico. The
recommendation has been approved
and Its execution left to bis libera
tion." Later the Secretary dictated the fol
lowing: "Tho statement I bare made Indi
cates nothing whatever on the subject

withdrawn from Mexico. The whole
subject of withdrawal of the forces is
under arrangement and negotiation by
the State Department"

and two major-generals have
been wounded and one colonel and 11

Fanciers Form Club To Start In Train.

Now York. Organization of a move
ment to bree.l and train dogs for tha
uo of the United States Army, the
American Tied Cross Society or other
military or relief organizations was an
nounced here. For that purpose dog
fanciers have formed the Army and
Tolico Dog Club of the Unitod States.
Dogs will also be trained for police
work. It Is proposed to maintain a
reghtry of trained canines, subject to
a call from army oiflcers.
FREE SUGAR BILL KILLED.
Senate Agrees To House Plan For An
Indefinite Repeal.
Washington. The Senate approved
the House bill repealing the free sugar
section of the Tariff law, under which
sugar would have gone on the free list
May 1. I?y a vote of 59 to 10 the Sen
ate rocodod from an amendment which
it had passed extending the existing
duty of 1 cent a pound for four years
unci which the House refused to agree
to in conference.

Newton Accused Of Planning To Kill
Financier.
New York. Harry I Nowton, a
former munitions worker, who was ar
rosted here after entering Into an al
leged asreemont to blow up a muni
tions plant, was prepared to kill J. P.
Morgnn, according to an nflidavit sub
mitted In the Tomba Police Court. On
the strength of this document Newton
w'as held for examination.
