OLDER EOT STRONGER
' To be healthy at seventy, prepare at
forty, is sound advice, because in the
strength of mhldlc life we tuooften forget
that neglected colds, or careless treat
ment of slight aches and puins, simply
undermine strength and bring chronic
weakness for later years.
To be stronger when older, keep your
blood jmre and rich and active with the

Resolutions of Respect
At a regular meeting of the
Ladies Aid Society of the Fair
view M. E. church, the following
resolutions were passed:
Whereas, it has pleased our
Heavenly Father to remove from
our midst, the beloved Grand
mother of our society; therefore,
be it
Resolved, That in the death
of Mrs. M. D. Mitchell, we have
lost a wise counsellor, a helpful
co-worker and a true friend; that
we hold in sacred memories her
deep Christian piety, her ready
helping hand, and her conscien
tious devotion to the duties of
life; and, that we, bowing in
humble submission to the Divine
will, shall endeavor to follow the
example she has left us.
Resolved, That in deep sym
pathy with the bereaved family,
we express our hope that so great
a loss to us all may be for our
pood, and we commend them to
the tender mercies of our Father
who doeth all things well.
Resolved, That a copy of
these resolutions be printed in
the County papers, and that a
record of them be kept on the
minutes of our Society.

When Mahon was in Congress
Franklin county had a population of 51,433.
Mr. Mahon had seven nominations at the hands
of his party.
Mr. Focht already has had five nominations
from a county of 16,249.
If Mr. Mahon had had as many nominations in
- proportion as Mr. Focht, he would still be in
Congress.
There are over 200,000 people in this Congres
sional district. There are many men living
in it who would ably represent it.
Why not retire the present Congressman and
give some one else a chance?
