reports a total of seventy-four
converts.
HIDES. Frank B. Sipes
pays the highest market price
for beef hides at their butcher
shop in McConnellsburg, also
highest price paid for calf skins
heepskins and tallow.

the pleasure of "salting down"
some of that butter money in ex
change for a year's good reading
matter.
A few days ago, one of John
Raker's calves got into the horse
stable, and one of the horses
broke one of the calf's hind legs
below the knee. John did not
get excited and take the calf's
life, but he mercifully amputated
the calf's leg, bound up the
wound, and in due time, all the
calf will need, to enable it to
frolic upon the hillsides along
with the rest of the herd, will be
a wooden leg.

hour.
