Leslie W. Seylar moved his
stock of drugs across the street,
on Monday, to the J. Nelson
Sipes store room, which was re
cently remodeled to suit Mr. Sey
lar's business. Being on the
shady side of the street, his fa
mous soda water will taste even
cooler than ever, and the reme
dies for human ills impart still
greater rejuvinating effects.
Since the groundhog lifted the
lid, the weather has been mild
and the snow has been rapidly
disappearing. In 19G4 the old
folks will be saying to the young
sters, "we don't have any hard
winters like we used to. You
just ought to have seen the win
ter of 1914!" The ground has
not been free from snow in this
county since Christmas. The
State Highway Department has
paid more than $20,000 dollars for
shoveling the snow from the pub
lic roads.
Judge Een Lindsey says that
so long as we have forced women
into economic competition with
men, taking their part in the
business and industrial world, it
is not only unjust, but little short
of a crime to deny them the same
rights as men to participate in the
government under which they
live. In the end it will do more
to return women to their proper
sphere as homemakers and the
mothers of children than any
other step yet taken in our new
civilization.

It is not too soon to begin to think
of spring housecleaning. This means
more than the beating of dust out of
carpets, mopping the floor and wash

much to the BRIGHTNESS AND

nothing of the SANITARY value,,
as a new, bright beautiful and up-to-date
