sick with whooping cough. One

An average crtp of 12 barrels
of corn to the acre in Fulton
couuty is one not to be ashamed
of, and that is just what William
Bishop, tenant farmer ou the
Sloan Warthin farm (known to
the older people as the Rankin
farm in Ayr township) had this
season. He just finished husking
his crop of twenty six acres last
week, and he had 1100 barrels of
good corn. Now, count it for
yourself.

Shorn of Her Crowa of Beauty, Loses
in Love and Marriage.
1 lair is certainly most neons
sary to woman. Who could love
and marry a bald-headed woman
What charms could one array
offset such a disfigurement?
A woman's goal is usually love
and marriage. Her crowning
glory is her hair. The loss of
her hair mars her beauty, bap
piness, and succsss. Yet, right
here in McConnellsburg, there
are scores of women who are
neglecting or mjuriug their hair
to such an extent that it is only
matter oi time when it will
utterly ruined.
Many women destroy the
beauty of their hair through
thoughtlessness or ignorance
certain facts. They use curling
irons over heated, or to excess
which destroys the natural oil of
the hair, causing it to split, break
and come out. They do not
shampoo their hair often enough
or Uo often. They use soaps or
preparations which contain
gredients positively harmful to
the scalp and hair.
As a result of such treatment
dandruff is created, the hair
loosens, loses color, falls ou
and baldness commences, unless
proper and prompt precautions
are taken in time. Then again
microbes and certain ' diseases
bring about unhealthy scalp and
hair conditions.
Almost anv woman may rid
herself of dandruff and disease
scalp and hair if she will but use
the right remedy. We have that
remedy, and we will positively
guarantee that it will either cure
dandruff and baldness or it wil
not cost the user anything.
That's a pretty broad state
ment. but we will back it and
prove it with our own money
We will return your money

scalp and hair troubles; that

heads, unless ail life in the hair

follicles closed, and the scalp is
glazed and shiny. It gets its
name from the fact that it grew
hair in l3 out of 100 cases, where
it received a thoroughly hard,
impartial, and practical test.
We want you to try Rexall "93

In speaking of insurance, a
prominent business man said:
"1 believe there is not one person
in a thousand who ever reads his
insurance policies. There is not
one person in a thousand who
knows that in every stock tire
insurance policy issued in the
state of Pennsylvania there is a
clause which states that if a prop
erty is vacant for the space of
ten days no insuranco can be ob
tained, if the property burns, on
house or goods. How many
know that?"
