Down in our ueighboring state of Maryland they are transferring apples by means of traction en gines, the wagons containing bar rels and fruit weighing tons. David Miller, who has been haul iog apples with a traction engine and wagon, the latter specially constructed to haul apples in barrels, hauled from the Dr. "Wishard farm, situated between Smithsburgaud Loitersburg, 90 barels of or seven" tons at one load, making two trips. He will keep up this arrangement of al ternating two and three trips a day until the 1500 barrel crop is hauled the three mile stretch to Smithsburg. $100 Reward $100.
