law which forbids the offering for
sale or trade any horse which can
not be regularly used and work

A Surprise Party.
On November 22nd, when Wil
liam Clevenger came home from
his work, he found quite a num
ber of his friends, who had plan"
ned to celebrate his 21st birth
diy. The evening was spent very
sociaoiy in games of various
kinds. After refreshments were
served, all returned to their
homes wishing him many happy
return's of the day.
