Saturday evening came, and with
it came a big lot of her neighbors
and friends. The evening was
pretty dark, aud her visitors left
their teams down the lane aud
went quietly to the house, when
they all pounced in. But Mrs

best of humor, aud the result was
a delightful occasion. The folks
had brought with them chicken,
cakes, icecream, rolls, and all the
accessories that go to making up
a big supper; and at nine o'clock,
ttiey gave thjir attention to eating
it. Everybody there had a "dee

happy because they had helped
to make somebody else happy.
